Welcome to the Phillips’ Rome vacation. This time we are accompanied by our niece Taylor. I have to say that Terecia has really gotten the trip planning down to a science…
- We had our friend Michelle Rampley pick us up at home and drive us to the airport, “BTW, I sense that we may need to make alternate arrangements next time”, but we are grateful for her willingness regardless.
- We got right to the Aer Lingus baggage check and found out that the extra she paid to get the aisle with more leg room wasn’t available but we were given alternate seats all together.
- we arrived in Dublin airport early enough that our connecting flight wasn’t even on the board yet. We roamed the airport, had some snacks and relaxed for a while. Eventually, the gate showed and we got on “in the correct seats” no problem.
- We landed in Rome airport early again and found that our checked luggage was O.K. and waiting for us. We got to our bus no problem and made it to our bus stop easily.
- We had a 10 minute walk to our room and the codes sent worked fine.
So, all in all, everything was smooth if not exhausting, but that was something we were prepared for.
