Today we take a taxi to Gare De Lyon station and board the TGV bullet train to Geneva Switzerland. If we were to drive, the trip would take almost 12 hours. On the train we’ll get there in a little over 3 hours as it travels at about 200 mph. Once in Geneva I’ll get a tour of the large Hadron collider at CERN, and “No”, they won’t let me play with it… I’ve already asked. The trip to CERN was great, however, I didn’t even get in the same building as the collider. They do have a very nice tour though. It was very informative, especially when I learned that CERN (in order to more effectively exchange information was the birth mother of the world wide web. I even got a picture of the proposal letter and the first server.
